State monitoring cell cracking down on gas theft from tankers: incumbent

State Monitoring Cell Gandhinagar received information that Dinesh Bhai Sawbhai Khambra is living in an open space behind Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, on Jamnagar-Rajkot Highway Road in Padhahari Taluka of Rajkot District, opposite Rangpar Village Board on Jamnagar-Rajkot Highway Road. The gas tankers move through their men, the drivers take the tankers with them in the above open area and carry out the illegal activity of stealing gas from the tankers.
On the basis of the information, the State Monitoring Cell raided the above place and arrested the accused of gas theft. In this case, action has been taken against the gas thief Dineshbhai Sawabhai Khambra and the driver of the tanker. Along with this, a total amount of Rs 49,46,170 including gas tanker and cylinder has been seized. The team of State Monitoring Cell has registered a case against the 8 accused in the incumbent police station and submitted further action.
